Featured Website: West Linn Paper Company
West Linn Paper Company is the oldest site of paper manufacture in Oregon. The facility has seen many changes and faces over the last 110 years. In 1889 the facility opened its doors as Willamette Pulp and Paper Company. The mill prospered, and in 1914 the company merged with Crown-Columbia Paper Company of Camas, Washington to form the Crown-Willamette Corporation. Crown-Willamette proceeded to merge in 1928 with the Zellerbach Paper Company of San Francisco to form the Crown-Zellerbach Corporation which went on to become one of the giants in the paper making industry. In 1986, the mill was acquired by James River Corporation, in 1990 Simpson Paper Company purchased the mill, and in 1997 the mill was purchased by Belgravia to create who we are today- the West Linn Paper Company.
