Problems with DSL connection
The first thing to try when you have problems with your DSL connection
Try and open our website http://www.ipinc.net if this fails go to the next step
Power off (unplug) your DSL modem and wait one minute and then power it up. If you can still not access the Internet go to the next step.
Power off everything from the DSL modem to the computer, and wait one minute. Start powering up the equipment starting at the DSL modem and working your way out to the computer. Wait for each device to fully power up before turning on the next device.
Now again try to open our site http://www.ipinc.net . If this does not work you will have to call your ILEC (Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier i.e. Verizon or QWest). You should be able to find a support phone number on your phone bill. When they ask have you talked with your ISP just say yes. We monitor our circuits 7 by 24, and they let us know when something is wrong at our end.
If you can bring up our site, however cannot reach http://www.anycomany.com it may be a problem with that host. Just try other sites, and see if you have the same problem. Internet Partners is multihomed to the Internet. So if one of our feeds goes down then the load is shifted to another one.
If you think the Internet is running slow remember that it is a shared source of information. They call it the "Internet Highway". Like the highway system you have various levels of traffic. You can be in Montana on a nice clear summer day with no one else on the highway, or you can be in Los Angles at 5:00 P.M. on a Friday afternoon in rush hour.
